3rd annual event was another success. There were over 500 racers who
attended. It was great seeing my long time friends again this year.
WOW....The midget guys were there in force this year. Danny
McKnight, Sleepy Tripp, Wally Pankratz, Jeff Heywood, and more of
the later Ascot years drivers were there to celebrate with all us
old timers. I am amazed every year to see so many great racers, car
owners, team members and manufacturers in one place at one time. It
so warms my heart to see everyone sharing their memories of race
days gone by.
Parnelli, Wilkerson, Hogle, Melton,
Thomas, Coulter, Hulse, and so many more true Legends there to keep
alive the racing stories of years ago. You can walk through the room
at almost any point and find a great story unfolding. I think this
must be what Heaven is going to be like everyday.
Thank you all for sharing your
memories and helping me to realize my dream of Honoring the Legends
of Ascot and Ascot as a Legend...
